On Sunday night we had the last of our harvest thanksgiving services in the Brooke Memorial Hall. The sermon was from Matthew 13: 24-30, 34-43, on the parable of the wheat and the weeds . The harvest is coming, which are you?

With some months, we're able to continue full steam ahead in our latest series. Other months have lots of special events happening, so we're more bitty in our sermons. In June we had both Gift Day and Children's Day, with special sermons for those occasions. For the rest of the month, we've been continuing in 1 Thessalonians, as we think about holiness and hope. In Holy Week, we joined together with Brookeborough Methodist Church for a special series of events called Cross Words. We listened in each evening to the words spoken by the Lord Jesus on the cross. We've had a bit of a backlog on the sermon uploads from the Christmas period. Here you'll find the audio from 23rd December as we looked at God working in the fullness of time , sending his Son (Galatians 4:4-5); from the 30th December as we considered the dark side of Christmas (Matthew 2), and from 13th January as we looked for the One who was to come (Luke 3:15-38)

On Sunday we finished our mini-series looking at Matthew 13, and we listened in to Jesus' Kingdom Parables . In ordinary stories about every day life, Jesus tells us that his Kingdom is growing, precious, and pure.

Yesterday morning we continued to listen as Jesus teaches about the Kingdom from Matthew 13. The parable of the wheat and the weeds answers the question: Why is the world the way it is? by reminding us that harvest is coming.

Yesterday we continued to study Matthew 13, as the disciples ask Jesus why he speaks to the crowd using parables. Are you really seeing and hearing when Jesus speaks? Listen in to the Purpose of the Parables (Matt 13:10-17).

Yesterday we began a summer mini-series in Matthew 13, listening in as Jesus teaches by the beach, telling parables about the Kingdom of God. The first was the parable of the soils (or the parable of the sower!) from Matthew 13:1-9.
