Sermon: 26th August 2012

On Sunday we finished our mini-series looking at Matthew 13, and we listened in to Jesus' Kingdom Parables. In ordinary stories about every day life, Jesus tells us that his Kingdom is growing, precious, and pure.

Why not come along to the new Fellowship Group meeting fortnightly on Wednesday nights at 8pm, beginning on 19th September. You won’t be required to read out loud or say anything, but you will be welcome to join in as you feel comfortable. More information from Gary.

Confirmation
On Sunday 4th November, Bishop John will (DV) be with us for the service of Confirmation. Confirmation classes for those in Year 9 and up will be held on Sunday mornings from 9th September at 10am in the Hall. Any adults wishing to be confirmed should speak to Gary.

Sermon: 19th August 2012

Yesterday morning we continued to listen as Jesus teaches about the Kingdom from Matthew 13. The parable of the wheat and the weeds answers the question: Why is the world the way it is? by reminding us that harvest is coming.

Yesterday we continued to study Matthew 13, as the disciples ask Jesus why he speaks to the crowd using parables. Are you really seeing and hearing when Jesus speaks? Listen in to the Purpose of the Parables (Matt 13:10-17).

Sermon: 5th August 2012

Yesterday we began a summer mini-series in Matthew 13, listening in as Jesus teaches by the beach, telling parables about the Kingdom of God. The first was the parable of the soils (or the parable of the sower!) from Matthew 13:1-9.
