Sermon: 26th May 2013


On Sunday morning, we continued in our series studying Peter's first letter. Having discovered that Christians are God's chosen people, Peter goes on to help us live as aliens and exiles in this world.

Sermons 19th May 2013


On Sunday morning at our Family Service, we were thinking about building the church - not of stone or brick, but of living stones - people, built on Christ the cornerstone (1 Peter 2:4-10).

In the Brooke Hall on Sunday evening, we learnt about the promise of the Holy Spirit from the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37.

Building Works

Work continues to progress on the interior of the porch.

Brookeborough Community Development Association
AGM on Tuesday 21st at 8pm in the Station House. Brookeborough Community Festival 29th May - 1st June. Details in local papers.

Parish Readers / Diocesan Reader
Parish and Diocesan Readers are those who assist in the leading of services and preaching. Training courses will take place in the diocese this autumn and next spring. Please speak to the Rector if you would be interested in joining the course.

Sermon: 12th May 2013


On Sunday morning our reading was 1 Peter 1:22-2:3, where Peter writes to the scattered Christians about the imperishable word which, like a seed has been planted deeply in their hearts, and which they should long like babies wanting their milk. What is the fruit of the seed? Genuine mutual love.

Public Meeting on Wednesday 15th May at 7.30pm in the Assembly Hall. Community Impact Assessment report will be presented in advance of the closure of the consultation (19th May).

On Sunday we began a new series in Peter's first epistle, looking at the True Grace of God (5:12). From chapter 1, God's True Grace makes us Chosen Exiles.
