Sermon: 22nd September 2013

Yesterday we continued in our series in the book of Daniel, as we considered the madness of King Nebuchadnezzar - not just his eating grass and living in the fields, but his ignoring God's warnings and his pride. Nebuchadnezzar is a case study of how 'God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' 2 Peter 5:5.

Sermon: 15th September 2013

At the Family Service on Sunday morning, we were in Daniel 3, as King Nebuchadnezzar's orchestra called for everyone to worship his golden statue. What will happen when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego say no? The fiery furnace awaits. Warning - this is a noisy one, so turn your volume down!

Sermons: 8th September 2013

On Sunday morning we continued our series in Daniel, listening in to the mystery of the King's dream as Nebuchadnezzar discovers the weakness of the Babylonian and Chaldean gods, and learns that there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. On Sunday evening in the Brooke Memorial Hall we listened to the chorus of voices declaring God's glory in Psalm 19. The heavens and the scriptures point us to God's glory - will we be in tune with the universe and desire God's glory in our hearts and lives?
