Sermon Audio: John 3: 1-21

Yesterday we listened in as Jesus spoke to a very religious man. Did Jesus commend Nicodemus for his religious works? No, in fact he speaks some truths for religious people, the first of which is 'You Must Be Born Again' .

Sermon Audio: John 1: 35-51

On Sunday, we heard John telling us about the first time he met Jesus and began to follow him. The three little words ' Come and See ' are an invitation to the searcher and the sceptic, as we hear them and share them with others, inviting people to meet with the real Jesus.

Sermon Audio: John 1: 1-18

September brought the start of our new autumn series: We Have Seen His Glory - listening to the eyewitnesses who met with Jesus, as recorded in John's Gospel. In the prologue, the first eighteen verses, John begins by telling us just who Jesus is - the eternal Word made flesh. Listen in as we hear about Receiving the Word .

We're continuing with our sermon series looking at Psalms from the life of King David. In 2 Samuel 15, his son Absalom begins a rebellion, so David flees from Jerusalem. With the many foes against him, how was it possible for David to lie down and sleep? It's only possible because he can say to God: You are my Shield .

Sermon Audio: Psalm 51

On Sunday morning, we had the first in our short summer sermon series looking at Psalms from the life of King David. In 2 Samuel 11, David commits adultery with Bathsheba, then has her husband killed in the war he should have been fighting himself. He thinks he has gotten away with it, but God was displeased, and sent Nathan the prophet to confront and convict David. Psalm 51 is the Psalm David writes in response: You are my Salvation.

In June we had both Gift Day and Children's Day, with special sermons for those occasions. For the rest of the month, we've been continuing in 1 Thessalonians, as we think about holiness and hope. Here are the sermons from June (and the start of July) to catch up or listen again: Sunday 7th June 1 Timothy 6: 3-19 Godliness with Contentment (Gift Day) Sunday 14th June 1 Thessalonians 4: 1-12 Walking Worthy in Holiness Sunday 21st June Matthew 5: 13-16 Little Lights (Children's Day - Rev Adrian Dorrian) Sunday 28th June 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 Walking Worthy in Hope Sunday 5th July 1 Thessalonians 5: 1-11 Walking Worthy for The Day
